Welcome

THANK YOU!
SOULINTHECITY was an amazing week of serving, with over 550 delegates from across the ACT and NSW descending on Canberra to serve in over 30 projects in the Canberra region. Delegates partnered with 25 Canberra churches and organisations to serve the community in practical ways, from kids clubs to barbeques to street evangelism to gardening and more!
Thank you to all who participated in SOULINTHECITY by coming along and serving. Your dedication and enthusiasm as you worked was a powerful reflection of the love of God. As with any adventure there were challenging moments, and at times you may have experienced unexpected changes of plan! But the love of Jesus shone through you as you served in His name, and know that your faithfulness to serving Him was not in vain.
To those who supported us in prayer, we thank you for your committment to this mission. To know that you were going behind us and before us in prayer was a great encouragement, and we know that prayer is what tranforms our labour into a lasting impact on the people we have served.
And to the churches and organisations who organised projects - it has been an absolute privilege to serve alongside you through SOULINTHECITY. Your heart for your community and your dedication to reaching it for Jesus has been an inspiration for all of us. We hope and pray that your local mission has been blessed by SOULINTHECITY, and we look forward to hearing how God continues to use you to be a light in your community.
To all who took part - we would love to hear your SOULINTHECITY stories. If you have not already shared your story with us at the conference, head to the CONTACT page and submit your story via the online form.

SOULINTHECITY STORIES…
“Our team went to clean up a garden of a man who was mute and partially paralysed and lived in poor conditions. It was such an HONOUR to bless this man. I’ve really come to an understanding of worshipping God in practical love to others and loved the way God used me – a broken girl - to serve individuals.”
“Perhaps my stand-out moment was having afternoon tea with an elderly Polish woman who lives in the flats where we were working. She lives alone, and was so lonely that she practically insisted we come in and eat her biscuits and talk with her. Despite a massive age gap she was obviously delighted to have us there and she had tears in her eyes when we left. It really made me think about how the Bible says we should take care of the widows. I didn’t know that anyone could be so alone in Canberra.”
“We were able to bless a grandmother looking after her four grandchildren in community housing. We scrubbed walls, cleaned up the yard and more. She was so amazed that we would do this for her and that someone cared. As we prayed for her she was in tears. It ignited something within our team that it was so simple to show God’s love and we could take that home.”
“I am not good at talking to new people I meet… in fact, I feel rubbish at evangelism. But today at Soul in the Park, I took a risk and talked with a bloke who had come to listen to the bands. I introduced myself, and as soon as he heard we were Christians, he started asking all sorts of questions. It hit me that Christians living life, loving each other and looking to Jesus is an awesome combination… I don’t know what type of seed was planted today, but I have left Soul in the City with the confidence to be bold in talking to people I meet, and in faith that Jesus is faithful in growing what He ordains to grow!”
